This report was prepared in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT), Canada, in the context of a Workshop on Environmental Assessment (EA) of Trade Negotiations that took place on 25 November 2002 at Meech Lake, Québec. The objectives of this report are to identify gaps and possible improvements to the current EA procedural framework and methodology in order to make the process more efficient.
